I Think We Got A "New One"

Last night (May 5, 2022) at about 1:45am, my adult daughter who was sleeping in one of our upstairs bedrooms had her bedroom window open approximately 3 inches, across from her bed, when she heard a loud growl from outside. I'd like to add here that her bedroom is above our front porch. The growl was loud enough that she heard it over the sound of her TV.

My daughter assumed it may have been the Black Bear that was here  on April 23, 2022 at around 1:30am and so she came down stairs and woke me up to tell me that the Bear was back.

Our cameras were not going off and our dogs were not barking. Nevertheless, I looked out onto my front porch and all I noticed was a rather small white round light in our small front yard that I really didn't think much of, and chalked it up to a light from a neighbors yard.

To me, it looked like the light could have been, or I assumed that the light was at a distance. Because it was small, at night and dark out, it was plausible that it could have been at a distance from my sight perspective.

I have no idea what made the growling sound, all I know is at that time, my dogs were not disturbed and my security cameras were not going off as they did the night that the Bear came on to my front porch.

My daughter went back upstairs, and me, now awake, decided to throw the TV in my living room on and I would just cuddle up with the dogs and watch the Food Network (as I often do with my mother, and also when I can't get back to sleep).

Approximately fifteen minutes later, my dogs started barking (but not crazily) and my adult son, realizing I was in the living room, came into the living room and he told me that there was something that "hit" his window (which is on the first floor) and it woke him up.

He said he looked out of the window but nothing was there. He came out to get a drink and he noticed that I was up and decided to tell me.

So, he and I started walking around the house, going from each window room to room looking out but neither one of us noticed anything unusual.

As we reached the kitchen, we heard a loud bang on a window in our living room, which made the dogs react with aggressive barking and jumping up on the window sills (we have 3 tall windows in our living room). They bark at anything or anybody that goes by on any normal day, but they only bark like this and to that degree, if something is in our yard.

Now, I'm beginning to get the feeling that I always get when I know something paranormal is lurking around (More on that, possession and ghosts in my book "No One Would Believe It")

As the dogs are freaking out, my mother, now also awake, yells my name from her bed, and asks me if there is a car outside or if I just locked my truck, because she heard a horn go off twice.

I go to my mom while my son, now with my cell phone, looking to see if anything was on the security cameras, is still trying to figure out what the dogs are barking at and what was hitting the windows, and he yell's "Hey Ma, your lights are going on and off, " My lights I said? and my daughter, yells down the stairs; "Guess what's here?" (Yes, she feels when they are around too).

My son was referring to the headlights on my truck as I later realized. The headlights were turning on and off. And, my daughter was referring to the usual paranormal - ghostly shit we deal with and have dealt with for years.

Clearly, something was trying to and was successfully getting our attention.

Our dogs abruptly stopped barking, two of them walked over to the couch, jumped on and curled into a ball. Our third dog walked into the kitchen for their water bowl (which is really a water fountain) before joining the other dogs on the couch.

What the hell just happened here I said.

As quickly as everything began, it ended. Just like that.

This is what my son found on our cameras. The funny thing is, the camera didn't record, there was an error message and the app now says that particular camera (we have many for obvious reasons) went "offline". In fact, as of this morning, I have been trying to get it back online but for some reason it won't connect.

So, I will try again in a little bit, but for now I wanted to add this story today, to the collection.

Seriously, no one would believe it. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!!
